wr. wb my beloved readers. In this post I will give you information about
Dialectology. Dialectology is a study of interdisipliner lingustics. It is also
called a study of language variation. Because language variations represent
language change, dialectology is a study of language change. The research
object of dialectology is language variation. It means to study languages history
or diachronic study. But the concept of dialctology then is a study of geoghraphic
variation. So the dialectology studies a dialect geography.
At first, actually
I want to find ilmu yang mempelajari tentang languages that sounds like other
languages. Like Korean and Japanese. Some of words in Korean ada yang mirip
pelafalan dan artinya dengan words from Japanese. But, I cannot find that topic,
if you know the study that learns this topic please tell me. And finally I find
this topic, Dialectology. This topic will tell you about the difference of a
language by looking at the geographic’s view. Oh ya, actually I am confused
about sebenarnya Dialectology itu branchesnya Linguistics Comparative History
atau Sociolinguistics. Because some of sites said that it is from Linguistics
Comparative History. But other sites said that it is from Sociolinguistics.
Maybe someone can tell me the truth hehehe.
